The Land Value Tax Plan Meetings Tonight!

District 4 Councilmember Latisha Johnson and Mayor Mike Duggan will each host meetings tonight regarding proposed changes in property taxes.
Councilmember Latisha Johnson will host a meeting at 5:30 PM in the Kilpatrick Room of the Samaritan Center 5555 Conner St. Detroit, MI 48213.
Mayor Mike Duggan will host a meeting on this topic at 7:00 PM in the Westminster Church of Detroit… See attached flyer.

Special Work Group Meeting

We will be having special meetings to organize work groups. These groups will be committees of the District #4 Community Advisory Council. They will each address specific categories of community issues. The first Meeting will be at the Samaritan Center, 5555 Conner St, Detroit, MI 48213 at 6:00 PM Tuesday September 19th.

We are asking interested problem solvers, from throughout Detroit’s District #4, to let us know when they would be available to be part of a work group.

Here is a preliminary list of work groups. These will serve as advisory committees to this CAC. Some of these groups may be combined to more closely reflect the structure of Detroit’s government:
